Reading along teaches you very little. Hearing your own recording next to the line you were chasing is uncomfortable, specific, and the fastest way to find what your mouth is actually doing.

Every take is kept
Stop recording and the take lands in the session. Play it against the same line and listen for where you dragged, where the vowel went flat, where you guessed.

Your camera, beside the video
Both panes sit on the same screen, so you can watch your own mouth while you chase theirs. Either can be enlarged when you want a closer look.

Count-in before it rolls
Recording starts on a three-second count, from the top of the line — so a take opens on a whole sentence with you ready, rather than halfway through one.

The sheet opens the instant you tap, with everything your phone already knows: the word, its part of speech here, its dictionary form, and every other line in the episode that uses it. Tap a timestamp to jump there and run it again.

Read in the line, not alone
"Play" is a noun or a verb depending on what surrounds it, so the whole line is read rather than the word on its own.

Hear it again
Any word can be spoken back to you a shade under full speed. A single word at full speed gives you nothing to copy.

Not a policy written for a marketing page — it is how the app is built, and it is why there is no account to make.

Nothing is uploaded
Takes are written to your device's own storage. We never receive them. If you want someone to see one, you share it yourself.

Meanings resolve offline
Translation runs on your iPhone using Apple's on-device translation. Download your language pair once and it works with no connection at all.

There is nothing to register. We do not ask for your email to use the app, and there is no profile to delete.
